My passions for history and story-telling have propelled my career path. My journey started with an MFA at the USC Film School when my short film, Persistence of Vision, earned numerous awards. This helped me land paying work writing episodes of the A&E Biography series. A screenplay about boxing legend Muhammad Ali followed, but Will Smith developed a version first (I admit his was pretty good!) I turned to multimedia, becoming a producer, writer and game designer of many interactive titles for companies like Sony and IBM. After the attacks of September 11th, I found a different kind of fulfillment as a high school History teacher. For over two decades I had captive, teen audiences to regale with amazing-but-true tales. I have returned to writing with Last Flight from Casablanca, a novel that blends history with cinematic story-telling.
